What’s A Drink?
When you are out having fun the last thing you are thinking of, is how much alcohol is in my drink? How much is too much? What level of alcohol is in the drink you have and how will it affect you?The following is a rough guide. This guide was presented by the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety. It is not an absolute. Every person is different.
This information is not a license to drink irresponsibly.
This guide is shown only to give you insight into how much can be too much. It will probably surprise you. Drink responsibly.
The following information shows the effects of alcohol within a one hour, on an average person of given body weight.
One drink equals:
(number of drinks listed below represent one of these forms of drink sizes)
1 ounce 86 proof liquor
or
3 ounce wine
or
12 ounce beer
Levels of intoxication:
BAC less than .05% - Use Caution
BAC .05 to .079% - May Be Impaired
BAC .08 and above – Presumed Under the Influence
*BAC – blood alcohol content
Using your body weight and the number of drinks consumed, you will learn the BAC %.

Note: The information on the BAC (blood alcohol content) states that an individual with a BAC less than .05% - should Use Caution.
This means that anyone, at any weight drinking just one drink needs to use caution when deciding to use a motorized vehicle.
It is better to error on the side of safety and don’t drink. You know your limits. Drink responsibly.
